Weird Brady Milestone

Just to show that people love to celebrate anniversaries of the most arbitrary things, some of the cast members of The Brady Bunch returned to Kings Island today to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Brady Bunch episode that was filmed there.

Yes, I was a dork and stood in line in for an hour and a half to see their “show.” It was basically Barry Williams singing a little, and Williams, Susan Olsen, and Christopher Knight reminiscing, talking about what they are up to now, and answering a few audience questions. I thought about standing in line for an autograph until an announcement was made that fans could have photos taken with the actors for $20. Um, yeah. No.

California There I Went

I recently spent a few days in Los Angeles for a work conference. I stayed at the Sheraton Universal, so I spent a little time the weekend before the conference at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Universal has some great attractions. I saw everything in two days. My favorite of course was the tram tour. I tried it on two different days, and it did change each time. One time we got the Mummy attraction, another time the parting of the Red Sea. But, not both on the same tour.  I loved seeing the back lot and sets from so many movies. I just recently watched Bruce Almighty just to see the brownstone set from Universal’s back lot. Good times.
