I’m All for Oddballs, but I Also Like My Phone

I attended the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival in Detroit/Clarkston on September 1. While I was excited about the lineup (Kristen Schaal, Al Madigral, Hannibal Buress, Demetri Martin, Flight of the Conchords, and Dave Chappelle), this type of venue didn’t really seem conducive to a satisfying comedy experience. Life has gotten busy, and I haven’t had the chance to write up a trip I took with my niece and nephew in July 2011. So, why not do it now?

Our trek took us to Michigan and the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. This was the weekend Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II opened, so I had the foresight to buy tickets for Saturday night at the IMAX there. Woot!

Upon entering the museum to pick up our movie tickets and buy tickets to the museum and village, we were treated to quite the HP cardboard cutout display. The niece and I had goosebumps.

My love for the Snapester knows no bounds!
