Merry Christmas, Dunderheads
I have been collecting nutcrackers for several years now. I have quite an assortment, but what was missing from my collection? Any type of HARRY POTTER nutcrackers. Turns out, most people probably are missing HP NCs. Perhaps when the books or movies first came out there was more Christmas tie-in merch, but now, not so much.
I found an Etsy seller who had made a Harry Potter nutcracker, but what I was of course longing for was a Snape. I sent an inquiry to see if the seller would make a special order, but I never got a reply. So, I took matters into my own, non-crafty, inept hands.

Christmas in New York
On a recent business trip, I had one afternoon/evening to wander around the city. I’d never been to NYC during the Christmas season. It was quite magical, and not even too cold!
I first visited the Bryant Park Christmas Market. It wasn’t dark yet, so I didn’t get the full effect of the tree. The booths/shops/whatever you want to call them were fun but nothing special. I picked up an ornament for my nephew, but I could have probably found the same thing at a mall kiosk. Still, it was pretty.
